The German automaker has officially confirmed that an estate version of the CLA, called Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake, will be launched next year. It is the first confirmation that this model will hit the market, following spy shots that showed the car undergoing some tests.
Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake shares the mechanical platform with the CLA sedan. It benefits from a petrol and diesel engine lineup seen on the CLA Class A.
Clients will have to choose between a manual six-speed and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The car will also be available with a front-wheel drive system or with the 4Matic four-wheel drive system.
Sales of 2015 Mercedes Benz CLA Shooting Brake are slated to begin in the early 2015. This version will cost a little more than the equivalent CLA.
A high-performance AMG variant of 2015 Mercedes Benz CLA Shooting Brake will be launched as well. Mercedes CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 355 horsepower and will be able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds.
