Special information coming from Bentley for fans all over the world as the car maker has offered some interesting insights regarding it’s plans. It seems that the company has decided that the Bentayga will be the fist car from their lineup that will come with a turbodiesel engine.
This is most certainly an important premiere for the car maker. And further details were provided by a lead engineer at the Crewe-based automaker that annunoced the turbodiesel engine will use an electric-driven turbocharger.
Thus we might expect the new Bentayga to come with a revolutionary engine borrowed from the second-generation Audi Q7. Most likely the new car will present a 4.0-liter V8 TDI engine with e-turbo and 435 PS (320 kW) output. Though no official information has been released regarding the torque of the new Bentayga most likely the vehicle will reach 1,000 Nm (739 lb-ft).
And good news continue to come as it seems that the new technology will not only help reduce fuel consumption but will also provide increased performance for SUVs.
Until the new Bentayga goes on the market Betley fans can buy the current version that brings a 6.0-liter twin-turbo gasoline engine rated at 608 PS (447 kW) and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft).
