2018 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Announced ahead Official debut in Geneva Next Month

The 2018 Geneva Motor Show is getting ready to open its doors starting with the 1st of March, with many important carmakers already announcing their newest and hottest models. Porsche is one of them and has recently presented the most outrageous model – the all-new 2018 GT3 RS.

There weren’t many things to know about the new GT3 RS, except for a handful of images leaked a couple of weeks ago. However, we know have the chance of seeing it in first photos and details.

As we can depict from the photos below, the 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a more mature sports car, with wider body kit and plenty of new mechanics. All enhance its power and performance figures. Overall, the model looks extremely aggressive and appealing.

The new styling elements are visible around its body style and refer to a much lower front splitter and wider side air intakes for the rear-mounted engine. There is also a more rigid wing which provides more downforce, while the big side air intakes and new diffuser with twin-outlet exhausts, provide sufficient power to sky-rocket the sports car to dazzling speeds.

The performance is also provided by the big and high-performance 20-inch light alloy wheels with 265/35 tires up front, while the rear gets the 21-inch alloys with 325/30 tires.

Moving inside, the cabin has been improved with lightweight door panels with storage nets and door-pull loops, adding as well sound absorption materials. There is also the Clubsport package available with further new features, like fire extinguisher, roll-over bar, six-point harnesses or battery disconnect switch.

As for power and torque, the new 2018 Porsche GT3 RS is a monster with its 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat-six engine. It develops 15 kW more, bringing the figure to a total of 383 kW. This means a 3.2-second run from standstill to 100 km/h, at a top speed of 312 km/h.
