Ford Shelby GT500 is here to stay

The stunning 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has posted all sorts of questions. Is it for real? Can normal people buy it? Are Ford going crazy?

All of these, alongside a sizable letter bag full of hate mail is what’s been keeping the Blue Oval’s PR people busy these last few weeks since it was introduced.

It seems that one of the recurring questions was whether or not there will be another GT500 model after the current generation.

Not having an awesome pony car like this steroid special that is the newest Shelby seems like a genuine possibility to some of Ford’s contacts.

The word’s finale or swan song have been uttered quite a few times. Perhaps Ford’s trashing of the opposition in terms of performance seemed like one final push before death.

Ford’s people along side Shelby American president John Luft have confirmed that there’s no reason to worry. The next generation of the Mustang will also have a GT500 version.

It only seems natural that they wouldn’t give out any details on the matter but we got the important bit so we can carry on with our lives.

Or we could mock those who could have thought that a low budget way to get into the 200 mph club would die off. It’s not like it’s a dinosaur in terms of fuel economy either.

A lot of models beat it but the 2013 Ford Shelby GT500 even manages to avoid the gas guzzler tax. Isn’t that something politicians will want to feed upon during the election.

Long live the King, of pony cars, the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.
